iPad - weird name, but it rocks!

The iPad, which resembles a giant iPhone, has a 9.7in full-colour touch-screen, and can be used to watch movies, surf the internet, listen to music, view photos, and read ebooks and digital versions of newspapers and magazines. Jobs described the device as a "truly magical and revolutionary product".

He confirmed speculation that the iPad could be used to read ebooks, newspapers and magazines. "Amazon has done a great job of pioneering books with the Kindle," said Jobs. "We're going to stand on their shoulders and go a bit further."

ROONEY 4 Hull 0

4th... after great pass from Bebertov.
Rio is back.
Hat-trick! Great cross from Nani, who finally shown his talent.

First!
Second!

Wayne Rooney produced one of the greatest performances of his career yesterday, scoring four goals in a match for the first time as Manchester United went back to the top of the Premier League with a 4-0 victory over Hull City at Old Trafford.

Rooney, 24, became the first United player to score four in a game since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against Everton in December 1999 and his haul yesterday put United two points clear of Chelsea.

Chelsea has two games in hand though.

Devastation in Haiti

As the scope of the devastation from a magnitude-7.0 earthquake became clearer Wednesday, survivors spoke in terms of all that has disappeared. Most hospitals, houses, schools, roads and grocery stores — virtually every necessity of basic life — were transformed into piles of rubble.

Thousands were dead, President René Préval said, and one of the world's poorest countries had become almost entirely dependent on outside help to survive.

USGS: USGS called it the strongest earthquake since 1770 in what is now Haiti

• The quake struck on January 12, 2010 at 4:53 p.m.

• The 7.0 magnitude quake's epicenter hit just 10 miles west of Porte-au-Prince and its 2 million inhabitants

• 3 million people in need of emergency aid after major earthquake

• The major quake sent 33 aftershocks ranging in magnitude from 4.2 to 5.9

• The Red Cross dispatched a relief team from Geneva and the UN's World Food Program is flying in two planes with emergency food aid.

• The Inter-American Development Bank said it was immediately approving a $200,000 grant for emergency aid.

• Some 9,000 peacekeepers have been in Haiti since 2004, including 1,266 Brazilians.

• Haiti has no real construction standards.

• November 2008: Following the collapse of a school in Petionville, the mayor of Port-au-Prince estimated about 60% of buildings were shoddily built and unsafe in normal circumstances.

Who's laughing now?

Tevez forcefully moved from United to City, get paid handsomely, scoring 11 goals in the last 9 games, City is mega rich, ready to rule the world. Life is good.

United, on the other hand, is struggling. They have mega debt. Had to hand the #32 shirt to a guy called Diouf.

So who is laughing now?

There is a new mega team in town in Manchester.

Ten-man United held by Birmingham

Fletcher sees red, and to miss matches... no good.

MANCHESTER United salvaged a precious draw from a frozen St Andrew’s last night, but they had to come from behind to avert a potential crisis in the ranks. Cameron Jerome had put Birmingham ahead in the first half, but an own goal by Scott Dann brought United a point they thoroughly deserved.

United in Bad Shape

Strikers? Rooney is superb at 24. But when will Berbatov become good? He is never going to justify the price tag we paid for him. And is Owen ever going to be good enough (as effective as Solskjaer!)? Owen misses easy opportunities in games, lack of sharpness. Wellback - don't play him in the wing, he isn't going to be any impact in that position. We seriously need one strong, quick, and scoring striker, somebody like Torres.

Wingers? Valencia has proven his worth, he got the speed and is threatening in the wing, scores some goals, but never going to have the impact that Ronaldo had. Nani is not going to make it, Tosic is a waste of money, Park is industrial, hardworking but with limited ability going forward... Orbertan? I saw him against Leeds - awful.

Midfielder? Fletcher is growing into an important player but never world class. Carrick passes well, but can be invisible at times. Scholes shows some flashes every now and then but is no longer a consistent player. Giggs plays well in the middle and is a class act but he is not going to be playing very often. Anderson is not taking his job too seriously, he got potential but has not been proving himself yet. Gibson thinks he can scores from the middle of the field in every game, which is a joke. And we are never going to see Owen Hargreaves back on the pitch, ever!

Defenders? Evra, if only we can have more of his quality in the team, then we will be superb. Rio has been missing and is never going to be reliable all season player anymore with his bad back. Vidic is rock solid but he is moving away. Evans is good youngster and we should build the defence around him. Wes Brown is a good cover but can never be the first choice center back/right back. Old man Gary? Please, please retire. He is way too slow now. Fabio and Rafael are promising wing backs. They will become important. John O'Shea, we need you back fast!

Goalkeepers? We need one world class young goalkeeper desperately! Seriously. Please offload Ben Joke Foster.

Here is what we need to get to the end of the season:
Manuel Neuer (New)
Rafael, Vidic, Rio, Evra
Valencia, Fletcher, Owen H, Giggs
Edin Dzeko (New), Rooney

subs: VDS, Kuszczak, Fabio, Brown, Evans, Carrick, Scholes, Anderson, Park, Berbatov, Owen, O'Shea, Wellback.

Then, at the end of the season, retire Gary N, offload Berbatov, Foster, Tosic, Gibson and Nani.

Windows 7 user? Try this! (God Mode folder!)

http://www.downloadsquad.com/2010/01/03/stupid-windows-7-trick-unlock-the-secret-god-mode-folder/

So, what exactly is God Mode in Windows 7?

Well, for starters, it's not really a mode. And it's nothing you need to be a deity to pull off, either.

Rather, it's a folder packed with shortcuts to just about every settings change and administrative function in Windows 7. Everything you'll find in the Action Center, Backup and Restore, Autorun, Desktop Gadgets, Devices and Printers -- it's all there. All dumped in one central location for easy access.

No, this trick doesn't involve entering IDDQD in the run box - but it's just about that simple. Here's the magic, as provided by the guys at Windows 7 Themes:

  • Create a new folder anywhere (I set mine up in d:\)
  • Rename the folder and paste in the following text: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

That's it! You've now got your new, somewhat handy folder. Why somewhat handy? Well, because you can already access everything in there by typing a few letters into the search box on your start menu.

Shameful Defeat - Leeds sink United in FA Cup

Any FA Cup upset these days usually has to come with a caveat, with the top managers tending to withhold their heavy artillery as much as possible, but this was a Manchester United team containing eight full internationals, among them Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov, against a Leeds side from two divisions below.

It was the first time that Ferguson had tasted defeat by a club from a lower division since he took charge of Manchester United in 1986. Indeed it was the first time since a humiliating defeat in 1984 by Bournemouth, managed by Harry Redknapp, that the club have suffered the ignominy of losing in the third round of the FA Cup.

The moment Gibson decided to go for glory instead of a pass to Rooney in the early minutes determined the mood of the game. Poor, shameful and awful. Wellbeck and Obertan were a joke. When Giggs and Valencia came on, we started to had chances, but overall, we know that United is not having the depth. Without Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs (and sometimes Scholes), the midfield is just not good enough, even for Leeds.
